@Tamar Braxton's edges yes the fact that he published free e books makes it so that she didn't steal anything also if we believe her story (which coach Greg believes) she didn't even try to steal his book, if greg didn't want negative reviews he should not have put out the fake books, even if anyone is slightly critical to Greg he would probably not take any critical feedback sportingly.

I'm a business man and that is the worst business decision I've seen. The fake books themselves will wreck some havoc on his sales, no matter if people reviewed them or not. On regards to the price, it's a free market so he can charge what he wants. However there is a reason many books sell at lower prices. More volume,more sales, and less piracy. Piracy actually creates exposure which leads to more sales. So it's not much to worry about if the book is priced proper to help combat it in the first place. Lastly, if I were to advise him I'd advise he probably use Kindle, they can handle all the copyright, costumer service, have great exposure, easy to market and so on.

Meanwhile Greg has 886k subscribers compared to less then 2k subs . Greg calls her a thief and blackmails her to remake a video. Clearly one of us has their head in the sand, don't think it's me.

@Gustav Propovski Yeah I agree. Pirating is bad. And it shouldn't happen. And Gigi didn't pirate the 2.0 cookbook. She got 2 fake recipes online and reviewed them. But then greg accused her of stealing his real book because she had these 2 fake recipes? Which doesn't make sense ...... because if she had actually pirated the real cookbook then she wouldn't be using the fake recipes? If she had pirated his real cookbook, she would have had the real recipes, not fake ones... And even worse, these 2 fake recipes were fake on purpose. Put online on purpose to throw off piraters..... So the whole issue is that he released fake recipes, someone used the fake recipes thinking they were real, and then accused her of stealing the real cookbook because she was using the fake ones..... A circular trainwreck of logic. If he had just made the video as an "aha you fell for the fake recipes joke" that might have made more sense. But the fact that he made her out to be a villainous slanderous theif, made it a mess because she didnt actualy pirate the real book. As made inherently evident by the fact that she had fake recipes. But did she pirate those fake recipes? I don't know... If he puts the fake books online to trick piraters, is she to blame? It's like chumming the water and then blaming sharks for coming? If I put out a fake product to distract theives from stealing my real product, I can't be mad at the thieves for stealing the fake product I provided to them? Or worse, if they steal the fake product I can't point at them and say they stole the real one because I caught them with the fake? Two separate things. Which is why lots of people were calling Greg out. Gigi had fake recipes but Greg accused her of stealing the real book. It just didn't line up.

@Gustav Propovski I'm having trouble understanding your response in relation to my comment? My comment didn't have anything to do with the consumer's experience. It was about the producer's reputation. If somebody is trying to sell a product and get a good reputation for this product... Why would he release a bunch of bad versions of the product to the public (make it available in public domain)? You can't put a bunch of bad recipes online and then be upset when people find the bad recipes and review them? Especially when the consumers didn't even know the recipes were fake. They'll just go around saying "yeah I tried some recipes out that I find burried online. They were actually really bad.... I wouldn't recommend the book to anyone." That dialogue right there is an entirely plausible and expected result of releasing fake recipes to the public. It doesn't matter if the consumer downloaded a pdf, found the recipe on a blog, got the recipe from a friend, downloaded an entire fake book, or mined some webpage code..... Whatever manner they got the fake recipe - if they think it's a real recipe and treat it as such, the response only damages the producer. Which is why I'm just saying it doesn't seem like Greg realized it at the time he came up with the idea. Which is why on paper it seemed like a fun way to catch some people and out them. But in practice he realized it can actually harm his reputation. Hence why he took them down.
